Spotify started testing playlists with access via NFT wallets

Streaming music service Spotify is testing a playlist service with access to non-fungible token (NFT) holders. To listen, users must connect a wallet, according to CoinDesk.

The service is available to members of the Fluf, Moonbirds, Kingship, and Overlord NFT projects. Custom playlists will be updated during a three month testing period. Users can connect them using a unique link.

Overlord has announced that an exclusive service is available to token holders from the Creepz lizard collection. According to the announcement, the pilot is currently being rolled out in the US, UK, Germany, Australia and New Zealand for Android users.

The Kingship team wrote that they have created a playlist for NFT holders with Queen, Missy Elliott, Snoop Dogg and Led Zeppelin.

According to the published screenshot, users can connect MetaMask, Trust Wallet, Rainbow, Ledger or Zerion wallets.

“The company regularly conducts tests to improve user experience. Some of them ultimately pave the way for implementation of solutions, while others contribute to the acquisition of important knowledge,” commented a Spotify representative.

Recall that in May 2022 it became known that the streaming platform was exploring the possibility of using NFT.
