Art history is filled with examples of artists inspiring other artists. Web3 builds upon this with derivatives and iterations whether it be memes or incredible works such as BLeU by tjo, Checks by Jack Butcher, Andy Warhol soup cans, or the Cubism movement started by Picasso and Braque.
For my upcoming drop, I was deeply inspired by the groundbreaking piece by Danny Cole, “Crowd”. It was such a refreshing take on Open Editions and created a crossover between hand-drawn and generative art. “Crowd” was the first time I saw an Open Edition that allowed each piece to be unique while allowing for some to be rarer than others. This unique open edition and the unique friends I've made through Web3 led me to create a piece in this vein.
This piece has dozen of faces of people I've drawn during countless real-life events.
I'm happy to announce my limited Open Edition, FRENS. It’s dedicated to friends I've made, and art I've created in real life.
